Years 3 and 4 put on an outstanding performance this morning (10th April), in which they retold the story of the last week of Jesus’ life. The story was told by the children through music, singing and drama. The performance was powerful and moving, and reminded us of the true meaning of Easter. Well done and thank you for starting our Easter season in such a special way.
Year 3 have been learning about wildlife with Sammy from MammalWeb.
Year 3 have been learning skills in Judo with Judo Dan.
World Book Day
In Year 3 we have celebrated World Book Day by reciting the poem ‘Mr Magnolia’ by writer and illustrator Sir Quentin Blake. We have written our own rhyming poems in the style of Mr Magnolia and we have studied a biography of Quentin Blake. We also created our own wonderful illustrations in the style of the artist.
Year 3 have been creating a gymnastics sequence in PE. These sequences include balances, jumps, rolls and movements. We have also incorporated apparatus into our sequences.
Year 3 carried out fossil investigations with the fantastic Captain Chemistry.
Year 3 have been acting out roles of the characters in ‘The Stone Age Boy’. We then developed the scene into a comic strip.
On Wednesday 19th December, Years 3 and 4 had their Christmas Party in school. It was a fantastic day, packed with dancing, games and lots of yummy food to eat. This was in addition to the Christmas Dinner the children ate at lunch time! Check out the photos below which capture only some of the fun had throughout the day!
In PE Year 3 have been practicing their dance routines.
