MRS. A. GARRITY – HEADTEACHER

Head Teachers Welcome

Hello and welcome to the St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary website. My name is Angela Garrity and I have the honour of being the Head Teacher of this wonderful school. Our school is a happy, safe place where children are encouraged to be the best they can be. Our community of children, parents, staff and governors work together brilliantly to ensure the best outcomes for our children and our relationships are founded in love and respect.

We serve the Parish of St. Cuthbert’s Chester-le-Street and our children come from in and around the Chester-le-Street area. We live out the Gospel Values such as faith, service and trust at St. Cuthbert’s in our daily lives, this really does make our school a safe and happy place to be.

Our Governing Body

Governors play a crucial role in the leadership of our Diocesan schools. They share in the strategic responsibility of promoting high educational standards and in ensuring that the school is conducted, as a Catholic school, in accordance with the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle ‘Memorandum of Understanding’, the school’s Instrument of Government and other legislation.
