Well done to everyone in Year 5 who took part in the egg decorating competition. We had some ‘egg’mazing eggs!

St Cuthbert’s Day
Year 5 enjoyed learning how to make a braided tassel for their St Cuthbert’s Day bookmarks. The children use them every morning during reading time so that they don’t lose their place in their favourite book.
A Day of National Reflection
Today, 23rd March 2021, marks a full year since the UK went into lockdown. On this National Day of Reflection, we can come together to reflect on our collective loss and support those who’ve been bereaved.
Year 5 children planted bulbs in the school garden as a symbol of hope for a brighter future.

Music
Year 5 have been learning about cyclic patterns in music. These photos show them performing their patterns as an ensemble. They enjoyed using the instruments today (20th October).

Pentathlon Challenge
Year 5 enjoyed an active morning taking part in a Sports Hall Pentathlon Challenge organised by Durham and Chester-le-Street School Sport Partnership.
Well done to Harry and Niamh who scored the most points at the end of the competition.
