Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers
Well, hello.
And welcome to this planet.
We call it Earth.

At the start of the autumn term, we are all going to be working on a back to school project in English linked to the book ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers.
This heartfelt and thought-provoking book from Oliver Jeffers is dedicated to his son Harland and was written in the first two months of Harland’s life. It was inspired by Oliver’s desire to make sense of the world for his son, but is also a gift to all children at this time, helping them to make sense of the world and their role in it.
Staff are looking forward to sharing this beautiful picture book with the children and  hope that the concepts of kindness, tolerance and environmental responsibility will help the school community look forward to the future in a positive way.
A Youtube link to the book is provided below for parents to share with their children at home.
Look out for updates on our Twitter page over the next fortnight for work linked to the book.
