Finance

The SEND funding in St Cuthbert’s is prioritized, to ensure small steps of progress are continually made by all SEND learners. This funding is used in a variety of ways: 1-1 or small group in class or withdrawal support, opportunities to take part in focused interventions, purchasing equipment or resources recommended by other agencies and staff training.

Costed Provision Maps

At St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School, for those pupils with high needs and who receive additional funding from the Local Authority, costed provision maps are created with detailed evidence of the types of support and interventions provided in school. This builds a portfolio of the progress each child makes and additional funding and financial support can be applied for from the Local Authority through an Education and Health Care Plan.
The class teacher, SENDCO and leadership team monitor the progress of pupils with SEND, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the support and interventions being delivered. Progress reports are shared with parents at termly review meetings or earlier if deemed necessary by the class teacher or parent.

How is funding used?

At St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School, for those pupils with high needs and who receive additional funding from the Local Authority, costed provision maps are created with detailed evidence of the types of support and interventions provided in school. This builds a portfolio of the progress each child makes and additional funding and financial support can be applied for from the Local Authority through an Education and Health Care Plan. Progress reports are shared with parents at termly review meetings or earlier if deemed necessary by the class teacher or parent.

The budget allocation is agreed between our school and the Local Authority at the beginning of each financial year. Detail of how this money is used to support children and young people with SEND is shown below. This is monitored each term by the Governing Body.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
